...so beatiful... they should have sent a poet.... (28/07/10 06:47:11)
    Dear User,

World is getting smaller and larger at the same time.

    check this

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=how+much+information+is+there+in+the+world
the first link (lesk) will point you to an interesting study dated 1997.

At the time Library of Congress was sized about 17 Terabytes.
We are now designing datacenters with storage well in the petabyte range, and Library of Congress is estimated (feb 2010) http://www.loc.gov/webarchiving/faq.html at 160Tb.

As you can see, traditional information repositories (libraries) can not keep the pace. This means information is flooding elsewhere.

Let's think and creep together, my friend.

But consider and remember: increase in information quantity means decrease of S/N ratio of the whole, and much worse access to the small good quality information.

Reputation systems are getting worse, because they are mostly driven by quantity and not by quality. (see klout et similia)

As you see, there is a lot to do for a smart guy.

    keep creeping....
    ... singularity is coming
